Our activities

SAN FRANCISCO — At the annual St Patrick\'s parade we had a good showing of IWs. The crowd is always appreciative and delighted when they get to see, and for those lucky ones, to pet our hounds.

SONORA CELTIC FAIR- This is an annual event with live music, great food, archery demonstrations, great stuff to bye, jousting, juggling, marching bag pipes, and most important Irish Wolfhounds with their masters in costume. Our IWs showcase the theme of the Celtic fair, with many of the public going just to see our hounds.

Feather Falls 2010

Feather Falls Walk June 19-20 2010
FEATHER FALLS WALK - June 19-20 We had perfect sunny but not too hot weather. The mountain sides were in full bloom with wild flowers and vibrant green leaves. The falls thundering sound could be heard from quite a distance. The dogs got to splash around and get a drink from several creeks along the route. Saturday night pot luck was terific. Sunday we went to the Feather river park in Oroville and let our hounds play in the river.

IW Emigrant Wilderness Backpacking

Emigrant Wilderness Backpacking July 17-26 2010
EMIGRANT WILDERNESS BACKPACKING July 17-26 - Three backpackers with their humans traveled a 55 mile figure eight route that brought them to a dozen lakes and multiple creeks. The late spring still showed by having snow patches across the trail and on mountain sides. Fishing was great with a couple of the fish meals BBQ ed with Wayne Colby\'s cooking on his small grill. The wildflowers were approaching full bloom. Also the mosquitoes were in full strength.
